Congrats to LANCO as their song “Greatest Love Story” spends another week at the top of the country music song charts! Lead singer, and the song’s writer, Brandon Lancaster says that the multi-week stay at number-one is the culmination of a lot of work, “Having a two-week number one is truly surreal, as an artist you dream of just having a song on the radio, let alone a song that goes number one, and then a song to be number one for multiple weeks is a dream come true, and it just means that your music is getting to that many more people and you’re impacting that many lives, it’s what you dream of as a songwriter and as a band.” LANCO fans are not only excited about the success of “Greatest Love Story,” but now they also know the name and release date of the band’s debut album–Hallelujah Nights will arrive in stores and online Friday January 19th! Lead guitarist Eric Steedly says that it’s great when things like releasing the album name and hitting number-one all happen at the same time, “Revealing kind of the entirety of the album name and when it’s coming out, and that along with a number one is something we’ve dreamed about for years, you know because you obviously dream of hitting the radio and topping the chart to reach as many people as possible, at the same time, you dream about releasing this huge body of work that really encompasses everything you’re about and you’re entire sound and it makes things make a lot more sense musically, so you’re just so ready to share that, especially after all those years of pushing the singles and playing shows to everyone, you desire for them to know the rest of your work so that’s extremely exciting to put that on the map, officially, and it is also really cool because logistically it works out extremely well to announce that on day like today, you know with the extreme exposure of a number one hit, just to say hey we also have this album coming out. Just all around incredible.” Brandon and Eric got to celebrate the success of their song with fellow bandmates Tripp Howell, Chandler Baldwin, and Jared Hampton this past weekend…at Jared’s wedding! The newly married LANCO member shared “Yeah my wife and I, we just got married on Saturday and I honestly, you know, having a number one is like another cherry on top. It’s kind of really indescribable the feelings that I’m feeling right now.
