Congratulations to LANCO for scoring their first Billboard number-one Airplay single with “Greatest Love Story”! LANCO lead singer Brandon Lancaster, who wrote the newly minted chart topper, says that the story behind “Greatest Love Story” is rooted in what he saw and experienced in his small hometown right outside of Nashville. Brandon shares, “I grew up in Smyrna, Tennessee…so, small town in Tennessee, and ‘Greatest Love Story’ just kind of came from observing. Songwriting can be both experiencing and observing, and kind of a combination of the two, so this was kind of a combination of the two. I’ve been in a relationship that stared with us living in the same place and then she moved away, and did the long distant thing for a while, and separated for a time, and then kind of came back together.  So, that aspect of it is very true to me. Then also just kind of growing up in Smyrna, you just saw a kind of reoccurring story that is the more detailed aspect of the song, where high school sweethearts…and the guy may go work at the plant that’s in Smyrna, and the girl goes to college, and then they kind of come back together and find that, that time apart made them realize that, that person is what they really need in their life.” “Greatest Love Story” will be featured on the LANCO’s debut album which arrives in January, and fans will definitely be looking for this one in their set when the guys hit the road with Chris Young and Kane Brown on the Losing Sleep World Tour in 2018!
