Eric Steedly – On Wedding Highlights:
I’d say a really big highlight of the night for me was definitely our first dance. We danced to a version of “Unchained Melody” actually by She & Him. It’s sort of like a really slow and kind of haunting, emotional version of the song which I think fits both of our personalities, just kind of wanting to be in the moment and really soak it up and be there with each other. The vibe we were able to create in the room turned our really atmospheric and nice, you know, with all of our closest people around experiencing that moment with us. It really was just kind of more than you dream of and the kind of thing that I really don’t think I’ll forget. We spent a whole lot of time in prep to kind of set the vibe in that space. And I actually, because we had to change the venue due to size, I had never been in the venue before. We had planned to buy all of these plants that we wanted to have at our own house, and so we just bought them and used them for the wedding, and we were able to get a ton of really giant kind of jungle plants. And then I made Jess’ really cool neon sign out of some LED stuff, and so it was just kind of the combination of the jungle vibe with the pink light and this beautiful venue that I had never been in before really kind of created this just magical environment to have a wedding in. Everyone there was so joyful, it was like none of the problems that have gone on in the past year existed. It was just kind of this moment frozen in time where everyone was happy, and so that really I think left an impact on everyone throughout the night. It was just amazing.

Eric Steedly – On Jessica:
So Jess and I started dating about 2 years ago, but we had known each other about a year prior to that because she actually produced our “Greatest Love Story” music video, which I may have made a slight move on her that day but she was definitely not interested. But I stayed the course and we would up dating and obviously eventually led to us getting married. Yeah, she does film and video work, currently she works for Nissan. She’s obviously a brilliant, incredibly talented woman and that was part of the reason why I fell in love with her. She loves to travel, we both love to travel all over the world, but yeah that was one of the reasons why I wanted to pop the question in a cool place like Aruba with the beach and cactus all around, that was way cool. The wedding day was amazing, I mean obviously it was a little bit stressful trying to figure that out in these crazy times with covid and all the restrictions kind of going back and forth, but we were able to kind of work through that and work with our vendors. Everyone was so kind to us and lenient in trying to figure out what we needed to do to make it work, and obviously we greatly reduced the size and put in safety measures. And you know, it all actually turned out to be kind of the greatest wedding we could’ve imagined. I think that going back, I don’t know that we would change how it went over, so all in all everyone felt safe and was super joyful, and it was just a really great night.

Eric Steedly – On Honeymoon:
So we actually decided to hang around town for a little while after our wedding to kind of chill out and let everything soak in. We had some family in town, so we wanted to spend some time with them instead of, you know, rushing out to a typical honeymoon. We will be shortly headed to Cabo down in Mexico on the Baja side. We’ve both been to Mexico a good bit, but neither of us have ever really been up there before. So we’re going to do Cabo for a few days and really take it easy, and then we’re actually going to head into inner Mexico to go to some of the smaller artistic towns and kind of hang around and explore a little bit, like Guanajuato and San Miguel, just some really cool, artsy, beautiful places. Originally we had some bigger plans I think to head out to the Middle East and explore a bit, but obviously due to covid I think Mexico may be one of the only countries we can currently go to. We’re not complaining because it’ll be great and we both love it there.
