Kenny Chesney is closing in on the top of the charts with his newest smash, “Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven,” and the success of the song is certainly a great feeling, though for Kenny, what he describes as “really, really a big thrill” was the time he spent visiting and recording with The Wailers. Kenny soaked up their stories of music and the Bob Marley years, and he holds the group in justifiably high esteem, saying, “I believe they recorded some of the most universal, far-reaching music that, arguably, that’s ever been recorded.” In addition to their performance on the song — the first single from Kenny’s upcoming Lucky Old Sun album — fans can also look for The Wailers in the “Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven” music video!
