KENNY CHESNEY: The Moment He Thought Of Miranda

audio

This weekend in Pittsburgh, PA, the Spread The Love tour rolls into town–and Kenny Chesney plans to bring his all to the fans in Heinz Field. This is another one of those stops though where Kenny Chesney and Old Dominion (who have been opening for Kenny on all the Spread The Love tour dates) are going to be joined by Miranda Lambert and Sam Hunt. Fans have been loving having Miranda at the same show with Kenny…and Kenny’s loved it to. He thinks Miranda brings something special to every date she’s on the Spread The Love tour. Kenny can remember the very moment that he thought of bring Miranda out on the road this year. It was during last year’s tour, and a stop in Chicago where Miranda joined Kenny on stage for one song and he thought “wouldn’t it be great if we could do this again someday.” Turns out that “someday” would be the summer of 2016!

“Last summer when we played Soldier Field in Chicago, Miranda did that show with us and that was the only show she did with us and I brought her out to sing a song with me, and I remember thinking in the middle of that song like ‘wouldn’t it be great if we could do this again someday.’  And little did I know that someday would come this year, and I’m very excited to have Miranda Lambert back out on the road with me.”
