KENNY CHESNEY: Reminded Of Certain Moments

Kenny Chesney has toured a lot over the last 10 years! Since 2007, all of those shows were recorded, and Kenny spent the earlier part of this year going through all the hard drives that contain those performances to find the best live versions of the songs that make up his Live! In No Shoes Nation album that arrives in stores and online this Friday, October 27th. Kenny admits that while he has many, many great memories of those tours, it’s a little hard to remember everything, so while going through the shows to find the songs for his new collection, Kenny was reminded of many great memories that had slipped his mind. Kenny says “Going through a decade of hard drives was an amazing experience because you forget about certain moments. You know, you forget certain connections with an audience, because you get on a bus and you leave, right? But I think one of the things that I thought about a lot in putting together this live record…the main criteria was the audience, the people that was listening and the people that gave you that energy back. Some of these moments we were able to capture, like when we did ‘Anything But Mine’ in Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium, they literally took over the song…I mean it was just such an unbelievable magical moment. It was a moment that I just couldn’t believe that I was standing there listening and watching this, and I knew that that was going to make the record just because it showed so much passion you could just hear how much passion that they had, and how much they cared and so that was a barometer listening through a lot of this content.” Fans can check out those special moments for themselves when Live! In No Shoes Nation album that arrives in stores and online this Friday, October 27th.
