KENNY CHESNEY: New Single Arrives at Radio Today!

Kenny Chesney has new music hitting radio stations today! The song is “The Boys of Fall,” and it’s the first single from his upcoming album, Hemingway’s Whiskey. Kenny describes it as a song about football, but much more than that, it’s also about the relationships you form on the field, what you learn from the game — and how those times can shape your life, just as they did for Kenny. KENNY CHESNEY: New Single Arrives at Radio Today!  Kenny Chesney talks about “The Boys of Fall,” the first single from his upcoming album, Hemingway’s Whiskey. (:34)
“My new album is called Hemingway’s Whiskey. And the first single off that album is a very special song. It’s a song about football. It’s a song about the relationships that you build as a football player. It’s probably one of the most generational songs that I’ve ever had in the sense that I believe that a lot of lessons that you learn in life, you learn on the football field. And that’s how it was for me playin’ high school football. If it wasn’t for high school football, I don’t know that I’d be doin’ what I’m doin’ today, really.”

KENNY CHESNEY: New Single Arrives at Radio Today!  Kenny Chesney says that he learned valuable lessons from playing football. (:26)
“Yeah, I learned how to work hard on the football field. I learned how to trust people on the football field. I learned humility on the football field. I learned teamwork on the football field. And all those things apply to what you do in your life. If you learn that early on, you have a chance to be really great at somethin’ — the ability to be a great friend, a great father, and a great husband.”

KENNY CHESNEY: New Single Arrives at Radio Today!  Kenny Chesney talks about his love for football and why that connects so much with his new song, “The Boys of Fall.” (:38)
“I’m really passionate about football. I love it. I love that time of year. I loved playing it. The song was so much how I grew up, and the way my friends grew up, and the bond that was created because of playin’ football. And I think there’s a lot of people out there that did play high school football that knew that their playing days were gonna be over, but they still love that time of their life. I think that when you go back — if you ask somebody that played football as a kid, and you go and you ask them as an adult to go back to the point where they were the happiest, I think it would be surrounded around a football field. That’s why I love this song, ‘Boys of Fall,’ so much.”
