KENNY CHESNEY: I Know That Place

Kenny Chesney unveiled big tour news on Thursday with the announcement of 17 stadium dates on his upcoming ‘No Shoes Nation’ Tour, launching March 16th at Tampa, Florida’s Raymond James Stadium. Officially dubbed Corona Light Presents Kenny Chesney’s ‘No Shoes Nation’ Tour, starring Kenny Chesney, the tour will feature special guest Eric Church, as well as Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves, with Zac Brown Band stepping in as special guest on select dates. About the tour, Kenny said, “I believe what we’ve created on the road is something special, the fans, myself, the band, the crew. But it’s really the fans who have given us a wonderful, unique life. What we’ve all built together is the ‘No Shoes Nation.’ There is no better name for this tour.” Kenny’s ‘No Shoes Nation’ trek will mark his 20th year of touring, and across years of making music, Kenny notes that sometimes a song he’s loved for a long time finds its own place in time for him, and that’s how he felt about recording his newest hit, “El Cerrito Place.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

  • “El Cerrito Place” is the latest hit from Kenny’s Welcome to the Fishbowl album, which also features “Come Over” and the CMA Award-winning Musical Event of the Year, “Feel Like a Rock Star,” Kenny’s hit duet with Tim McGraw.

KENNY CHESNEY: I Know That Place  Kenny Chesney talks about his newest single, “El Cerrito Place.” (:32)
“‘El Cerrito Place’ just felt right to me now. I’ve loved that song for a while, and there is a certain longing in this song that in a lot of ways I really relate to. It’s about wanting something that’s obviously not there and this searching that we all have for love and lust and someone that obviously is not in your life anymore — or something that’s not there that you need to be there to fill this up.”
