Kenny Chesney‘s latest hit is “You and Tequila” with Grace Potter — and the song recently earned a trio of CMA Award nominations, with two for Kenny and Grace for Musical Event of the Year and Video of the Year, as well as a Song of the Year nomination for songwriters Matraca (m?-tray-s?) Berg and Deana Carter. The fact that the song has been so well received is a testament to everyone involved, and Kenny tells us that the vocal pairing with Grace just couldn’t have been a better fit. And we’d never sang before. Never. I met her the day that she came in the studio to sing on the record, but it clicked, and our voices, they were perfect together.”
