Kelly Clarkson is enjoying her new newlywed status — she even shared some wedding video this week! — and another thing she’s thrilled to share with her fans is her very first Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, which comes out on Tuesday! Kelly is a self-proclaimed “nerd about Christmas music,” and for her, the project — with the help of some very cool special guests — was an absolute labor of love. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

“I’m excited ’cause I got to do, my favorite song is ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside,’ and everybody always does it kind of big-bandy, and we kept, like, a little bit of the big-band production, but I’m doing it with Ronnie Dunn. He is, like, one of my favorite voices of all time. He’s so soulful, and that song — if you know Ronnie Dunn — is so his personality. Like, it’s straight-up his personality to say all of that to try and get you to stay, and have a drink. (laughs) But, anyway, so that’s fun, and then I can’t believe that Reba and Trisha [Yearwood] agreed to do a trio with me on it, so they’re doin’ a trio, and it’s ‘Silent Night,’ and it’s gonna be so epic. I’m so excited. Even if nobody buys this album, I’m just so excited that I have it, so (laughs) for me.” (laughs)

“I gotta be honest with you, my Christmas album is like my favorite thing that I’ve ever done on the planet. It is so amazing. I’m a nerd about Christmas music. Bing Crosby’s Christmas CD, like ‘White Christmas’ album, is like, oh, my gosh, I love…and ‘White Christmas’ with Rosemary Clooney and Bing and all the other two, like, and Mariah’s when I was a kid and loved Reba’s. There’s so many Christmas CDs that I just am in love with, and so I was really excited about making it.”
