KELLY CLARKSON: Best Day Ever

audio

On Tuesday, Kelly Clarkson sent a tweet from the recording studio with the hashtag #bestdayever, and a photo of a studio sound board with the labels, “Reba,” “Trisha,” and “Kelly,” which would certainly seem to suggest that Kelly was having the time of her life making music with two of her idols, Trisha Yearwood and Kelly’s stepmom-to-be, Reba McEntire. And while Reba knows that Kelly sometimes slips into the excitement of a fan being around her idol, Kelly says that it’s still new to Trisha! (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

audio  Kelly Clarkson says that being around two of her idols inspires a bit of “nerding-out.” (:30)
“The funniest thing is, like, Reba’s used to me nerding-out with her, but Trisha isn’t yet. And what’s funny is we nerd back and forth. She’s so supportive. She’s so nice and always is like, ‘We love your music, we love your voice, you’re just…I was just doin’ Zumba to your song.’ And I’m like, ‘What?!’ It’s still not quite normal to get an e-mail from Trisha Yearwood or a text. And I’m like, ‘Yeah, whatever, I’m just talkin’ to Trisha Yearwood. No big deal. (laughs) Whatever.’ And you’d think I’d be used to it after a decade of bein’ in the industry, but I could…I actually love that I am still quite a kid about it.”
