KANE BROWN: Number-One Song!

Lauren-Alaina-congrats-to-Kane-Brown

Congrats to Kane Brown on his song “What Ifs” claiming the number-one spot on the country music song charts! The newly crowned number-one hit features Lauren Alaina, and can be found on Kane’s debut album–which the deluxe edition of, just came out 10 days ago. Kane recalls showing up to a song writing meeting with the title already, “I had a title called ‘What Ifs,’ and I feel like everybody always says what if this what if that even if you’re not in a relationship there is always this what if question, so we just kind of put it in a relationship status.” The next step for Kane was getting his long-time friend and one of the people who first inspired him to sing involved on the track, so he asked Lauren Alaina, “After we wrote it I asked Lauren, I been trying to get her on a song with me so I asked her if she would come to the studio and record it and she was going to work out that night but I told her it would only take fifteen minutes and I made her late for her hot boxing class and she just came and she killed it.” That collaboration has now resulted in Kane’s very first number-one hit. Lauren took to her socials to congratulate Kane…Lauren wrote “What if we came from the same small town in Georgia? What if we we became friends in chorus class in middle school? What if we got older and had the same dream? What if we met up again years later in Nashville? What if we got to record a song together? What if the song sold over a million copies? What if the song went number one? What if all of these what ifs were true? There’s no one I would rather have a number one song with. I’m so proud of you, and I’m honored to be a part of this song and your journey.” You can check out Lauren’s message below, and the video for “What Ifs” featuring Kane and Lauren at Kane Brown Music dot com, or just click HERE
