KANE BROWN: Moving Fast

audio

Kane Brown‘s self-titled debut album arrives this Friday. Kane has been on the fast track to success ever since he started to blow-up on social media with his home made cover songs. That led to Kane starting to perform shows, then a record deal, then an opening spot this past summer on the Florida Georgia Line tour, now his album is coming out, and he’s headlining his own tour. While out on tour opening for FGL, Kane got to be real good friends with Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard, and Kane says that the guys have been a great source of advice, since they also had a nontraditional rise to fame. They told Kane that he’s not the usual “come to Nashville and try to make it,” story so what ever experience Kane has, it was the experience that was meant for him. With things moving at light speed, Kane is also making sure that he’s capturing the memories that are being made. Not only his is guitar player keeping a journal, but Kane’s tour manager is also making sure to record things with a camera. Which also leads to a few moments for Kane to reflect on what’s happening, like when he recently watched one of his early concert performances, which made him realize how far he’s come in such a short period of time.

“A lot of the new artists…they get to go and do the traditional artist stuff and it’s really slow. But for me, and for them, everything’s been so fast…you know, I’m doing my own headlining tour now. They were telling me it’s gonna come fast,  but you’re moving fast, so everything that you’re doing is meant for you. You’re not the traditional ‘I’m coming into Nashville,’ so everything’s gonna work out how it’s suppose to work out.”

“My lead guitar player is keeping a journal, and then we have a video camera now. Nikki my tour manager she’s always taking pictures or videos. So, we went back and watched our first show couple days ago and it was just like ‘wow. we’ve come such a long way.’ It’s pretty neat, you don’t really know how neat it is until you see it.”
