Jameson Rodgers: talks about his musical influences (Audio and Video Link)
RODGERS: “So my top musical influences are definitely all the ‘90s country: Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt, you know all the classic artists in the ‘90s country. And also ‘baseball music,’ is what I call it. So I grew up playing baseball and the stuff they’d play in between innings like AC/DC and Mellencamp and Petty and Springsteen and all that stuff. And another recent one is Eric Church, I think the first record Eric Church put out was like the first time I ever thought I could write songs like that. And so, I’d like to think there’s a little bit of all of that in the first single. I mean I feel like it all kind of naturally kind of bleeds into your songwriting and your songs you pick and how you record them. Yeah, I’m just excited for everybody to hear it.”
