JAKE OWEN: The Man of Tomorrow

Jake Owen is brand new in stores with his second album, Easy Does It, and looking at the nearly three years since the release of his first record, Jake feels that the time has served him well. “I’ve grown up a lot,” he says, “I’ve learned how to do things and not be the young boy of yesterday and be more of the man of tomorrow.” Another thing that’s continued to get even better is Jake’s music, and he had a hand in writing all but two of the songs on his new album, including the disc’s first single, his Top-10-and-climbing smash, “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You.” Jake performed the song live on ABC’s Good Morning America earlier this week, and you can see the show’s interview with Jake as well as a web-only exclusive performance of album track “Cherry on Top,” online now! Just follow the Jake links under “Winter Concert Series” on the GMA homepage at abcnews.go.com/gma. JAKE OWEN: The Man of Tomorrow  Jake Owen talks about the transition from his first album to his second. (:26)
“My first record was kind of introducing me, and I thought that it was a great title — Startin’ with Me — here I am, here we go. And then this record is kind of a…it’s building on the last one, you know, there’s some similarities, but there’s some that aren’t. I’ve grown up a lot. I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned how to live my life. I’ve learned how to do things and not be the young boy of yesterday and be more of the man of tomorrow.”
