Jake Owen’s fifth studio album, American Love, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and at No. 4 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. Plus, the debut single, “American Country Love Song,” is currently at number-6, and climbing! Jake attributes the success of American Love to the nostalgic themes in his music. Jake says that along with the music on his latest album, he’s built a career based upon songs that “either make you remember how you felt that time year, that summer, that moment with your friends, or it’s the looking forward to that moment again.”

They’re songs that kind of either make you remember how you felt that time year, that summer, that moment with your friends, or it’s the looking forward to that moment again, and I think music helps you do that. I think music takes you back in time and also can fast-forward time for you. So this album is filled with a lot of songs that bring that feeling about.”
