JAKE OWEN: Keep on Truckin’

Jake Owen has the energy in high gear on his latest hit, “Eight Second Ride,” and if you’ve seen the music video — filmed in Jake’s native Florida — you know that the steamy feel of the video comes from more than just the southern locale. Jake admits that the beautiful young woman who plays his romantic interest managed to keep her cool on the set, despite a little flirting from him, but by the video’s end, the script had our hero and his leading lady getting sultry in the back of a truck. It was after that part of the filming, Jake laughs, when an unexpected meeting made it all feel “a little weird.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

JAKE OWEN: Keep on Truckin’  Jake Owen talks about shooting the video for “Eight Second Ride.” (:37)
“The video was a lot of fun to make. It was kind of steamy, man. It was…the girl was very, very good looking that was in that video. She completely blew me off all day long as I tried to, you know, throw a little game on her, I guess you would call it. And she wasn’t havin’ any of it. But we had a good time makin’ it. She was very professional. She was 20 years old, so, you know, it was a little weird for me after I got out of the back, truck bed of the truck in that video, after we were rollin’ around in it, and her father came over and introduced himself to me. (laughs) Said, ‘Well, man, at least you got to see me in action.'” (laughs)
