Jake Owen loves his Love Bus–and he wants you to sign it. The Love Bus is the VW Van that Jake bought earlier this year, and then took a well documented road trip from Nashville, Tennessee to Key West, Florida–along with chronicling it on social media, the trip was also featured in the video for his current hit single “American Country Love Song.” The Love Bus can also be seen on the cover of Jake’s album American Love, which comes out on July 29th. Jake is now bringing the Love Bus to shows–and if you tweet him that you want to sign it–he’ll let you. Jake recently posted to his Facebook page a video of him finding a fan on one of his Canadian stops that reached out to him on Twitter about signing his bus. Jake tracked down the fan, and let her sign the bus–while many other fans have added their name to the interior of the Love Bus, Jake thinks this might have been the first Canadian fan of his to do so. “In today’s day in age, I think it’s important to really utilize those platforms and use ’em to your best ability because it’s our one way of connecting with the fans out there. And that’s all they want to do! They…yeah, they love our music, but they really want to connect to us as human beings. That’s what we are. That’s why I think people love country music is we’re real people singin’ about real situations, and if they can compound that with kind of grasping a hold of who you are as an artist and person, and you reach out to them, it multiplies tenfold.”
