It’s funny how easy it is to take things for granted when they’re close at hand. We’ve probably all felt that way at one time or another, and Jake Owen made that observation recently when he was talking about the fact that even though he grew up in Florida, he only visited Disney World one time. Jake says he was so young that he really doesn’t recall much about it, but he doesn’t remember being too impressed. Still, he says, he’s up for giving it another shot! (AUDIO INFO BELOW)
- We know there must be a joke here that ties into Jake’s great new single, “Eight Second Ride,” but all we can think of is that there’s no minimum height requirement to enjoy the song! Just crank it up!
- “Eight Second Ride” is the second single from Jake’s Easy Does It album, also featuring his smash, “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You.”

“Isn’t that weird, when you grow up somewhere, you just take stuff for granted. But, yeah, I was three years old when I went to Orlando for Disney World, and I don’t remember a whole lot of it. I remember ridin’ in that ‘It’s a Small World After All.’ That’s all I remember. Just the water and the smell of the damp air in there. Other than that, I don’t really remember a whole lot. I need to go back, I guess.”
