JAKE OWEN: A Happy (and Hands-On) Guy

Jake Owen‘s life has changed a lot this year, from marrying the love of his life, Lacey Buchanan, to the happy couple setting up their home together and preparing for the arrival of their first child. And with Jake’s red-hot career and a super-busy tour schedule that’s included a summer on the road with Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw‘s ‘Brothers of the Sun’ Tour and getting ready to headline his own CMT tour later this year, Jake says he’s been a little stressed that he hasn’t had much time to be hands-on in getting things situated at the newlywed homestead — but all the same, he says, he couldn’t be happier. JAKE OWEN: A Happy (and Hands-On) Guy  Jake Owen likes to be a hands-on kind of guy. (:45)
“I’m a hands-on guy. Like, I want — and maybe that’s a bad thing, I don’t know — but I always want to, like…I want to set my living room up the way I want to set my living room up. Like, I want to hang my TV on the wall, you know, ’cause I know how I want it, and I know where I want it. So, it’s been kind of a stressful thing, like, tryin’ to make myself happy by doin’ everything I need to do, but at the same time, too, make everyone else happy by fulfilling the obligations that I have to, you know, to play shows, and you know, and then make my wife happy, who wants things done her certain way. It’s a big…it’s an adjustment, but I am very happy, and I’m probably the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. Just, I’m comfortable. I feel complete. That’s the best way to put it is I feel like I don’t have anything that’s missing in my life. I’m very content with where I am.”
