HUGE congratulations go out this week to red-hot Jake Owen, who not only tops the country airplay charts with his first-ever number-one smash, “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” but Jake also scores his first number-one debut on Billboard‘s Top Country Albums chart with his just-released third album, also titled Barefoot Blue Jean Night! And the success in part may be a natural reflection of where Jake is in his life right now, because, as he recently told us, he’s happy…and everything seems to be in a good place. • In response to his first number-one single, Jake said today, “I’ve never had a number-one anything before. This is an amazing feeling that is hard to describe. I’m just so grateful that I was able to record a song like ‘Barefoot Blue Jean Night’ that truly represents who I am and I’m even more grateful that people liked it.
