Georgia Webster – I Hate Phone Calls (Long Distance Sucks) (AUDIO)
I Hate Phone Calls is a song that I wrote with Josh Kerr. And it was our first call right in Nashville. It was one of my first co writes ever. And it was when I was in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend at the time. And I went in and I was like how do we say like long distance sucks? And he was like let’s just say long distance sucks. So we ended up writing a song I Hate Phone Calls (Long Distance Sucks).”

Georgia Webster – Risk (feat. Jonathan Hutcherson) (AUDIO)
So I wrote Risk. Risk was one of my first co-writes in Nashville as well. And I wrote Risk with one of my friends named Phillip, Phillip Bo. And I was very scared to co-write it. And so we ended up he was like, why don’t you go in the other room and I’ll stay in this room and you can write the first verse, I’ll write the second verse, and then we can write the chorus together. And I was like, okay. And so we ended up writing the verses separately, and then we came together with the chorus, and it just kind of all pans out really well. And I ended up I was like, I really want like a strong country voice in it. And so I was like, Jonathan is the perfect person. And so we ended up asking Jonathan and now Jonathan’s in it and I’m just think it came out really good.”
Georgia Webster – X’s (VIDEO)
Georgia Webster – X’s (AUDIO)
Okay, so X’s is a song that I wrote about going to a bar down in Nashville. And it was kind of when I first moved here. And a lot of my friends are over 21. And so we were like, let’s go try to get into one of the bars and just see if I can come hang out with you guys. And we’re like waiting outside of the bar. And I’m trying to get in and the guys like, dude, we’ve got to put X’s on your hands. And this was the first time that I’d ever gotten X’s on my hands. And so the next day I went in, and I had to write with Evan Klein, and Asia Whiteacre and I was like, guys, I got X’s on my hands last night. And that’s how the song came about.”
Georgia Webster – John Mayer Songs (VIDEO)
Georgia Webster – John Mayer Songs (AUDIO)
John Mayer Songs is a song that I wrote about this guy that really made me want to learn how to play John Mayer songs. And obviously, like John Mayer is one of the greatest guitar players ever. And so I went home and I tried to learn how to play like three of the songs and I was like, these are so hard. And so then I was like, wow, like, I must really like this guy if I’m really trying to learn all these songs. And so then we ended up reading John Mayer Songs.”
Georgia Webster – Not Sayin’ (VIDEO)
Georgia Webster – Not Sayin’ (AUDIO)
Not Sayin’ is a song that I wrote with Josh Kerr and Dave Barnes. And it was one of the first co-writes that I had in Nashville. And we were just talking about that unspoken connection that you have with someone and neither of you guys are saying anything and you’re kind of just like, unsure of what to do. And then this weird like, kind of like, period of just no one saying anything and you’re kind of waiting for the first person to speak up. And then we end up writing Not Sayin’.”
Georgia Webster – Tattoos (VIDEO)
Georgia Webster – Tattoos (AUDIO)
Okay, so Tattoos is a song that I wrote with Josh Kerr and Andrew Stoelzing. And Andrew came in with the title and he asked me he’s like, do you have any tattoos? And I don’t have any tattoos, but me and my ex boyfriend were going to get matching tattoos at one point before we broke up. And so we kind of just ended up talking about that story and you’re like, damn, like, thank God we never got tattoos and there’s the hook.

Georgia Webster
A native of tiny Hampden, MA, Webster grew up listening to a variety of music, from John Mayer and Miley Cyrus to Carrie Underwood, Keane, and the Grateful Dead. She started performing around her hometown while in high school, playing original songs that reflected her pop influence and love for country music. Though she’s young, Webster is an old soul, and her songwriting reflects a depth and mindfulness that was influenced by hours listening to Josh Turner, Tyler Childers and other acclaimed singer/songwriters. Webster then honed her craft by attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music’s songwriter camps, and her natural talent blossomed. Everything changed when, in July 2020, her song “Tell Your Mom” became an instant viral hit on TikTok, amassing more than two million views in just a few days. Georgia’s success on TikTok brought impressive offers from pop and rock record labels out of New York and Los Angeles, but her instincts told her working out of Nashville would allow her to stay true to herself as a singer/songwriter with small-town roots. Georgia teamed up with songwriter/producer Paul DiGiovanni (Sam Hunt, Lauren Alaina, Jordan Davis, Dan + Shay) to create the studio version of “Tell Your Mom,” which retains the acoustic spark of the original TikTok performance.
