Dolly Parton has a worldwide number-one album to celebrate this week. The superstar’s new release Pure & Simple debuts at number-one not only in the U.S., but, also on the national country charts in Canada, U.K. and Australia. Dolly’s 43rd studio recording marks the first time Dolly has topped Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart in the 25-year history of SoundScan. It’s amazing that at this point in her legendary career that Dolly can still have a “first.” Dolly jokes that when it comes to the music business, “I’ve seen it through all its changes, I mean I’ve been at this for 60 years…I was here in the early days when Willie Nelson had a short haircut and no beard.”
