audio  Chris Young says that his current hit, “Aw Naw,” may not be his everyday life, but he’s been there! (:30)
“No, I don’t think this is probably the most (laughs), the most autobiographical single that I’ve put out, but this is definitely somethin’ that I’ve lived, you know, just like I lived ‘Tomorrow’  on the previous record. I think that that was, you know, really, really close to me because I had been in that situation. I was like, a lot of other people have been in this situation before; this is something that’s easy for me to write and say and sing and believe. And when you can do all of those things I think when people hear a song, it just translates different to them because it’s believable.”

audio  Chris Young says that he felt that he had plenty of time to make his new album, A.M., what he wanted it to be. (:29)
“Whoever said it, ‘You’ve got your whole life to build up to make your first record, and you get 11 months to make your second,’ when I made my first record, I got signed and had to finish it in the next, like, two weeks! So every single record (laughs) after my first record has been the opposite of the way it’s supposed to work, so I’ve actually had more time on all these records than I have the first one, so I don’t ever feel rushed with the album process. I feel like I got plenty of time to, you know, write songs and find songs and be ready to go in there and make a record.”
