Chris Young‘s new album, NEON, is in stores and online NOW, but that’s far from the only exciting thing going on with Chris these days, who kicked off his first dates last week on Jason Aldean‘s My Kinda Party tour. Chris told us recently that he’s thrilled to be on the tour, and he has it on good authority that being on the road with Jason is definitely a great time. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

“Just to have the opportunity to be on that tour, I mean, there’s a lot of people that wanted that spot. So for us to be goin’ out in the middle act slot with Jason is a real cool thing, and really glad he decided to have me and my band out there with him. I know I love his crowd. I’ve seen one of his shows recently, and he’s just packin’ in people, so to be out there on that tour is a really, really big deal.”

“I’ve met Jason at a couple shows before, but it’s always just kind of been in passing, so this will be the most amount of time he’s been stuck with me for (laughs) an extended period. And I heard a lot about him, actually, from Luke Bryan. We were out with Luke on the Rascal Flatts tour at the beginning of this year, and of course, Luke was in that slot, and he said it’s just a great time goin’ to hang out with Jason, so we have nothin’ to worry about.”
