CHRIS YOUNG: Little Sister

There’s no doubt about it: Chris Young is one busy guy, and as the CMA New Artist of the Year nominee continues his all-summer tour with Rascal Flatts, dates were officially announced on Friday for Chris to join Alan Jackson on tour in November! You’ll also have a chance to see Chris on TV on Monday evening — September 13th — hosting a special episode of GAC Nights, themed around Tuesday’s release of the new album, NOW That’s What I Call Country, Vol. 3. Along with music videos from some of the album’s featured songs, look for Chris to share a few stories about his friends and fellow artists on the album…but today, Chris is talking with us about the music video for his latest hit, “Voices.” A lot of Chris’ real-life family is in the video, but when his sister, Dot, wasn’t available for the shoot, Chris still found a way to make sure she was included. • Be sure to catch Chris hosting GAC Nights in the episode premiering Monday, September 13th, at 8pm, ET, with additional airings on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Visit GACTV.com or check your local listings for complete airtimes!
  • While his “Voices” music video may include his real-life family members, Chris is sorry to say that what you see isn’t his real-life car. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)
  • Look for “Voices” on Chris’ current album, The Man I Want to Be, which also includes the number-one hit title track, as well as the chart-topping “Gettin’ You Home.”

CHRIS YOUNG: Little Sister  Chris Young explains how he made up for his sister’s absence in the family scenes in his “Voices” video. (:22)
“She’s in the video, but she’s not in the video. My sister is in boot camp for the Marine Corps while we were shootin’ this, so we couldn’t really use her, so there’s actually a picture that I walk in…when I walk in the house in the video, I reach over and I pick up a picture, and it’s me and someone who looks a lot like me with longer hair, and that’s my little sister. So I still managed to put her in the video.”

CHRIS YOUNG: Little Sister  Chris Young really liked the car featured in his “Voices” video. (:11)
“That is a prop. I wish that was my car. No, I actually asked the guy, I was like, ‘So, let me just drive this for a minute, and I’ll be right back,’ and he was like, ‘I don’t think so.’ (laughs) It’s a beautiful car, though.”
