CHRIS YOUNG: Just Going Over To Vince’s House

audio

Chris Young‘s brand new single “Sober Saturday Night”–the third from his album, I’m Comin’ Over–features a very special guest on guitar and background vocals…Vince Gill. Chris sent the song to Vince, who said that he’d be very happy to contribute to “Sober Saturday Night,” and suggested that Chris come over to his house to work on the song. Chris then remembers texting his co-producer for I’m Comin’ Over, Corey Crowder, and telling him that they needed to go to Vince’s house. Chris says Corey was so excited that he made sure nothing was going to interfere with the chance to hang out with Vince Gill, and work on “Sober Saturday Night.”

audio  Chris Young recalls the story of when he told his I’m Comin’ Over co-producer Corey Crowder that they were going to Vince Gill’s house to work on the song “Sober Saturday Night.” (:36)
“When we went to record this with Vince, we already cut the track. I told him, ‘Hey, I’ll send it to you, if you want to be a part of it…that would be amazing but no pressure, I know you’ve got a lot of stuff going on.’  He’s like ‘Yeah man, honestly I love this.’ He goes, ‘I’ll do it. Come over to my house.’ So, we went over to Vince Gill’s house. That was the one thing that I did, when I text Corey my co-producer, I was like ‘Hey man, I’m going over to Vince’s, do you want to go?’ And he was like, ‘Uh, yes! What time do I need to block off?’, and I was like ‘I think it should just take a couple hours.’ He goes, ‘What day? I’m knocking everything on my schedule, I don’t want anything in the way of this.'(laugh)”
