CHRIS YOUNG: I’ll Turn This Car Right Around, Mister…

Kids always have a way of getting on their parents’ nerves — whether they mean to or not — and Chris Young tells us that when he was little, he managed to drive his parent nuts, of all things, by singing! One of the first country songs he knew start-to-finish was Randy Travis‘ second chart-topper, “Diggin’ Up Bones.” Turn him loose in the car, and Chris’ parents were ready to head for the hills…without him. Thankfully, talent won out, and Chris is new on the charts with the sultry groove of his incredible new single, “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song).” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

“I think one of the first songs — country songs — that I learned all the lyrics to was ‘Diggin’ Up Bones,’ Randy Travis. So, you know, I’d sit there and sing in the backseat, and my parents were like, ‘Dear God, please don’t sing.’ (laughs) ‘Don’t sing.’ And then as I got older, we actually found out I actually could, like, had some sort of talent.”
