Chris Young is discovering that shows this year are a little different from last year when it comes to fans and his album I’m Comin’ Over. Chris is finding, now that people have had a chance to listen to his latest album they’re starting to sing along with not only the songs they hear on the radio, but it turns out, they know the album cuts too! Chris Young’s I’m Comin’ Over album has had a lot more people taking notice since it’s nomination for ACM Album of the Year–and Chris should get ready for more people knowing the words to all the songs, if it walks away with the award on Sunday April 3rd.

“I think what was really interesting is, the difference between the end of last year, and the beginning of this year, is really that people have had time to kind of dig in, they’ve had time to get into some of the album cuts. We actually open the show with ‘Underdogs’ right now, and last year people were going ‘OK, what is this, is this new?’ It took’em about half way through the song to go ‘alright, now we’re here.’ Now it’s enough people have copies of the record and they’ve listened to the album, they’ve gone through and tracked through stuff that we come out, and I just went ‘Put your hands up’ and it was like instantly everybody’s hand went up in the air. It’s definitely got more response, even from the album cuts. I’ll mix in some other stuff…obviously we’re playing ‘Think of You,’ me and Cassadee come out and do the duet, ‘I’m Comin’ Over’ is in there, ‘Underdogs’-like I said-but, even stuff like ‘Sober Saturday Night’ we’ll come out and do that , sometimes for an encore, sometimes in the middle of the show. The number of people singing the words already is just really cool…cause that’s not a single, and we’re just now on the second single, so it’s early in the life of the record, but it feels really good.”
