Chris Young became a first-time uncle last year, and while he’s been getting acclimated to what being an uncle is all about — including playful plans to spoil his niece and give his sister, Dot, a hard time in the process — one thing that Chris knows for sure: when enough time goes by that little boys start taking notice of his niece, that’s when Mom and uncle will be of one mind. - And a big congratulations to Chris, who was among the honorees celebrated by the Country Music Association this week at the annual CMA Songwriters Luncheon and the presentation of the CMA Triple Play Awards, which honors songwriters responsible for three number-one hits in a 12-month period. Chris received the honor for his chart-topping single “Voices” (from his The Man I Want to Be album), as well as “You” and “Tomorrow,” both from his hit-filled NEON collection.
