CHRIS YOUNG: Comin’ on Strong!

audio

When you’re hot, you’re hot, and Chris Young has come roaring out of the gate with his new single, “I’m Comin’ Over,” which debuted at number two on Billboard‘s Country Digital Songs chart, with first-week sales of 71,000 according to the folks who keep the counts at Nielsen Music. That total is all the more impressive because “I’m Comin’ Over” isn’t even officially due to hit radio station airplay until next week. So it’s easy to understand why Chris is thrilled with the early reaction to “I’m Comin’ Over.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

  • Co-written by Chris, Corey Crowder, and Josh Hoge, “I’m Comin’ Over” is available on iTunes!
  • “I’m Comin’ Over” is the first new music from Chris’ upcoming fifth album. Co-produced by Chris, the album is set for release this fall.
  • In a press announcement about the new song, Chris said, “‘I’m Comin’ Over’ describes that feeling when you can’t get someone off your mind and you just have to be with them no matter the consequences. It’s my first new music in almost three years and I’m really excited to share it with my fans.”

“With it bein’ so young, I mean, this is the first time that we’ve ever had this number of single sales the first week on somethin’ we just did a digital push for, and it’s…you know, it’s not at radio, I haven’t played it live anywhere, we didn’t tease it other than just online, and it’s been really, really cool to see such a great first-week number, you know? And it’s…I think just the more this song gets out there, the more people are gonna really dig into it, fall in love with it.”
