Chris Young‘s new album is just days away, when The Man I Want to Be hits your favorite music store on September 1st…and to say that Chris is jazzed about the release would have to an understatement. “It’s kind of surreal,” he tells us, in part because he’s wanted to share these songs with fans for a long time. But one song that fans already love is Chris’ smash single, “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song),” which joins another Chris favorite, “Voices,” among the terrific tracks on The Man I Want to Be. It’s just weird thinkin’ that in two weeks, it’s gonna be out, and I can go get it in a store, and that people are gonna get to hear all the stuff that I’ve been wantin’ ’em to hear for…since my first record came out, basically. And it’s just a great feeling, and I’m really lookin’ forward to the 1st.”
