Chris Young will perform his new single, “Who I Am with You,” when he appears on Wednesday night’s CBS special, A Home for the Holidays with Celine Dion. The 15th annual TV special features inspirational stories about children adopted from foster care, and Chris says that he’s really thrilled to have been invited to participate in the show. “It’s really a cool opportunity for me to be a part of the A Home for the Holidays special for CBS, because not only is it with two people that I have a lot of respect for artistically in Celine Dion and Ne-Yo, but it’s bein’ able to do a holiday special that’s not just themed around country music and they’re havin’ a country artist. So I was really, really excited to be a part of it and get a chance to do it. And on top of all of the cool musical side to it and everything else, you know, it’s bringin’ to focus, too, adoption, at a time where a lot of people are makin’ those holiday memories with family. So it’s a great tie-in, and I think it’s a special that people will enjoy the music, and it’ll also make ’em think.”

“It’s just a really, really great vibe around the holidays, with everybody. It’s one of my favorite times of year. I’m completely unapologetic about that. I am a Christmas guy; I love Christmas. I love everything about it. I love giving gifts. I love surprising people with gifts. It’s so much fun just knowin’ that I’ve had such a great year, and goin’ into next year, it’s gonna be hopefully even better.”

“I think it’s just, you know, the weather’s gettin’ colder, everybody’s thinkin’ about gettin’ gifts for their families, so it makes ’em a little more in tune for other people if they’re…if it’s a time for them they really need help or they need, you know, money. A lot of people donate this time of year. It’s also a time of celebration. You know, everybody’s wrappin’ up the work time. Now it’s just like, all right, we’re gonna put it back into ‘coast’ and kind of hang with family and make good food and just have a fun party atmosphere to celebrate what we’ve done this year and get ready for next year. And that sense of togetherness, I think it does; it allows people to be the person I think they’d want to be more often, year-round.”
