audio  Carrie Underwood talks about her “fur babies”: Ace and Penny. (:50)
“Penny and Ace: they are my kids. Of course, I will have a human baby, but they’re my fur babies, they are. And they’re always with me, and they’re such a huge part of my life. It only makes sense that that bleeds over into my music or videos or photo shoots or something at some point. Commercials, magazine…you know, whatever! It only makes sense that they would be a part of some of that some of the time. Ace was in the ‘All-American Girl’ video, Penny was in ‘Blown Away.’ Ace was in, like, a Nintendo commercial. Ace is in an Almay commercial. It just…it makes sense that they are in my life so much, they might as well be in my work, too, and they make all of it better. They make all of the aspects of my life better.”

audio  Carrie Underwood says that Penny is always up for a little extra attention. (:22)
“Penny’s definitely the more needy child. Ace is kind of a go-with-the-flow kind of dude. He loves his mommy. Penny is a daddy’s girl, but if you, like, bend down to pet Ace, Penny’ll come, like, barreling in and, like, push him out of the way and want attention. So, I have to make sure Ace gets his time, or Penny’ll take it.”

audio  Carrie Underwood shares what she thinks when she hears “Something in the Water.” (:22)
“When I hear ‘Something in the Water,’ it’s just the kind of song that makes me happy in every way: to hear, to sing, to see other people get into, to hear the choir. When the choir — ahh! — behind me enters my ears, it just always has been a magical moment. I just think of being joyful.”
