CARRIE UNDERWOOD: Music Is the Place to Be!

Carrie Underwood has another big hit on her hands with her newest song, “Just a Dream,” and while that kind of news would give any singer plenty of reason to smile, the video shoot for the song was another story all together. The beautifully sad storyline of a young bride whose husband was tragically killed meant that Carrie — in her role — spent much of the shoot in tears. And while she did a wonderful job, she looks back with a sense that making music — much more than acting — is where she wants to be. “It meant a lot to me that I got to play that role,” she says, but “it was just so emotionally draining, I mean, crying all day long pretty much,” as she adds with a laugh, “I don’t know if that’s something that I could really do too much of.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

  • “Just a Dream” is the fourth hit from Carrie’s Carnival Ride album that also includes the number-one singles, “All-American Girl,” “So Small,” and “Last Name”!

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: Music Is the Place to Be!  Carrie Underwood says that the video shoot for “Just a Dream” was an emotionally exhausting process. (:40)
“It meant a lot to me that I got to play that role, but I think I realized throughout the whole process, I am just, I am not an actress. That was something that was, I don’t know, it was just so emotionally draining, I mean, crying all day long pretty much…and then in-between takes, everybody’s all happy and funny…and I just, I don’t know if that’s something that I could really do too much of (laughs). And after watching it back, I don’t know, I’m my toughest critic, but it seems to have gotten a lot of good responses and everything…but I just (laughs)…I think I’m gonna stick to what I’m good at.”
