CARRIE UNDERWOOD: It Really Is an Honor…

Carrie Underwood is a double-nominee at this weekend’s ACM Awards, where she’s up for Female Vocalist of the Year, as well as Album of the Year for her Blown Away collection. And in talking about award nominations, Carrie says that they always feel good, because even when she feels good about the work she’s doing, it’s always nice to know that other people do, too. “It’s just a lot of reinforcement when you get nominations, you know, from award shows, ’cause you still want to…you still want people to be excited about what you’re doing. I’m excited about what I’m doing, but you know, if nobody’s there to check it out or go see it or go buy it or go watch it or listen to it, I mean I guess it doesn’t matter how excited (laughs) I am about it. So it’s really nice to kind of get those…you know, awards aren’t everything, but they do make you feel good.”
