CARRIE UNDERWOOD: In a Festive Mood

Perhaps at no other time in the year does Nashville live up to its name as Music City more than right now, during the annual CMA Music Festival, and Carrie Underwood didn’t just start attending after she became a star — she was here before, being a fan like so many others. Carrie says it’s a great time all around and really a unique kind of experience. “No other genre has something where the fans can just come, and everybody’s there, and they get to hear great music and hang out and have fun, and go get autographs, and go to fan club parties, and you know, go to charitable events, and just so much that happens during CMA Music Fest.” Carrie’s already been out and about, and she loves it, adding, “It’s really important for me to stay active and have fun, ’cause it’s a lot of fun.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: In a Festive Mood  Carrie Underwood says she’s having a great — and very busy — CMA Music Festival. (:44)
“Country music is the only genre of music that has anything like CMA Music Fest. No other genre has something where the fans can just come, and everybody’s there, and they get to hear great music and hang out and have fun, and go get autographs, and go to fan club parties, and you know, go to charitable events, and just so much that happens during CMA Music Fest. And I think it’s so great that great we have that. So it’s very important to me that I am somehow involved every year, you know, whether I’m doing all the events or, you know, just a few here and there. This year, I had my fan club party, I played at the Opry, I played at the celebrity softball game, and I signed autographs, and just kind of bein’ around the whole time. So it’s really important for me to stay active and have fun, ’cause it’s a lot of fun.”

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: In a Festive Mood  Carrie Underwood says that a typical concert has some opportunities to meet fans, but that the CMA Music Festival is really a great way for them to meet their favorite artists…and maybe discover some new favorites, too. (:18)
“Normally, we’re on stage, and there’s a few people at meet & greet. This way, you kind of get to see everybody everywhere, and people that are fans of mine might see somebody else performing somewhere and fall in love with them and vice versa. It’s just a wonderful way to…everybody gets together, and just has fun with interacting with the fans.”
