CARRIE UNDERWOOD: How I Met Your Mother  Carrie Underwood talks about her sitcom debut and her acting experience. (:26)
“Going into How I Met Your Mother, they knew my limited acting experience, so I don’t think anybody was holding out these high expectations for me. If anything I think they were pleasantly surprised, so they probably had pretty low expectations of me when I walked in. (laughs) But everybody was so great! The vibe on that show is awesome, everybody’s nice. They’re really great, everybody was friends and laughing the whole time, and it was just a lot of fun.”

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: How I Met Your Mother  Carrie talks about the character she plays on How I Met Your Mother. (:28)
“My character is, well, she’s kind of…I don’t know…she’s kind of mean, I guess. But she’s also kind of…I know girls like this, so I think she was kind of easy to play. I didn’t have, like, a really difficult character to be playing. But it was a lot of fun, I got to play with baby pigs, I got to just hang out with some awesome people and dress up in funny costumes. It was a lot of fun.”

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: How I Met Your Mother  Did she say baby pigs? (:26)
“The baby pigs were literally three days old. They were baby pigs. And they had three. Some of the other actors weren’t so keen on the farm animals side of things, but I’ve been around goats and pigs and cows and all that stuff, so I didn’t have a problem with it. So I was like, ‘I’ll do all the tough stuff. You just stand there and look pretty.'” (laughs)

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: How I Met Your Mother  Carrie explains the dangers of working with baby pigs. (:40)
“I was holding the pig, and there was something, like, on the outside of the blanket that was wrapped around it. And one of my other co-stars was like, you know, ‘What is that?’ And I said, ‘Well, it’s probably the same thing that’s on my dress.’ And I literally had pig, oh, goodness, you know — poo — dribbling down my dress. So that was really fun. They had an extra dress, though, thank goodness. That was on the first take, so it’s like, ‘Oh man,’ and we only had one extra dress. So we have to be mindful of that and wrap the pig up very nicely. But it happens. I didn’t mind. It was so cute.”

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: How I Met Your Mother  Turns out acting pigs have “people” too. (:14)
“The pig’s owners were there to make sure everything was okay. And we wanted whichever pig was most subdued at the time. But I got to cuddle with a pig, which wasn’t too bad. It’s all in a day’s work.”
