audio  Carrie Underwood loves when a song’s lyrics can mean different things to different people. (:32)
“I think one of the wonderful things about music is that people can interpret songs in different ways. You shouldn’t be locked into anything. I could hear something and think it means this, and you could hear the same song and think it means something completely different. And that’s the wonderful thing. We apply it to our lives. We hear what we want to hear out of it. So, I think it’s a wonderful thing, and I’m glad that occasionally I can tap into that trick and (laughs) be able to write something or sing something that can mean different things to different people.”
