CARRIE UNDERWOOD: Getting Fierce  Carrie Underwood says that there was something special about her smash “Blown Away” that inspired her to show another side of herself. (:41)
“I’m really glad that I had a song with the title ‘Blown Away.’ You know, the song, it’s…the whole album’s not like that song — which is good because (laughs) it might be just too much drama to handle I think if all the album was like ‘Blown Away.’ But it was just such a cool…I mean, ‘Blown Away’ — you think of something that’s just gonna blow you away. You think of something that’s gonna surprise you and excite you and think, ‘What just happened?!’ You know? So, it was strong, it was fierce, and it…I feel like it gave me license to shoot for the cover art and everything like that and get to be fierce and get to be strong and get to be, you know, kind of sexy, and I don’t know, just kind of show a different, stronger side of myself.”

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: Getting Fierce  Carrie Underwood says that “Blown Away” and other songs on her album helped define the CD package art, inside and out. (:40)
“For the album art in its entirety, we kind of tried to take certain key songs and depict them in photo form. And since the title is Blown Away, we wanted to do…if you notice, I’m standing on yellow bricks. They’re not like super-bright yellow bricks, but it’s a yellow brick road, in quotation marks, you know? It’s kind of our depiction of it, you know, and it’s stormy, and it’s kind of alluding to the video and to the song, but also fierce. With the Blown Away, it just gives me license to be strong. But inside, you’ll be able to see other pictures that kind of depict other songs.”
