Carrie would go on to win the category 2 more times…and she’s nominated in it again this year. Along with the Female Vocalist Of The Year, Carrie has nods for Entertainer Of The Year, Album Of The Year (for Storyteller), and Musical Event Of The Year (with Keith Urban for the song “The Fighter.) Oh, plus she has co-hosting duties with Brad Paisley! It all happens this Wednesday November 2nd, on the 50th Annual CMA Awards, airing on ABC live from Nashville, Tennessee.

“I definitely didn’t expect my name to be the one to be called so it was a surprise, and I think that’s probably why it was…I mean, it’s always exciting when your name is called any situation like but especially when you’re like ‘I have no…no way…there’s no way. This isn’t going to happen” and then they call my name. So, it was excitement and surprise, and thankfulness. It was a pretty huge night for sure.”
