audio

She’s up for a whopping six ACM Awards, including New Female Vocalist of the Year — and this past year has certainly been one to remember for “Burning House” singer Cam, who’s seen her career take off in a big way. For the past month, she’s been a special guest on tour with Brad Paisley, and Cam says that she’s loved every minute. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

  • Cam will wrap up her stint on the road with Brad later this week, as the tour hits Wichita, KS, on Thursday, Springfield, MO, on Friday, and Tulsa, OK, on Saturday.
  • Cam is new on the radio with her song, “Mayday,” the follow-up to her number-one smash, “Burning House,” both from her acclaimed album, Untamed.
  • Congratulations to Cam on picking up two more ACM Awards nominations last week, making a total of six nominations for the upcoming awards! Cam earned a double-nomination as artist and writer in the category of Song of the Year for “Burning House.”
  • Did you know…? In her first year as an ACM Awards nominee, Cam is this year’s most-nominated female artist! In all, Cam is up for New Female Vocalist of the Year, Video of the Year for “Burning House,” and she scored a pair of double nominations with “Burning House” for Single Record of the Year (as artist and executive producer) and Song of the Year (as artist and writer).
  • Later this month, Cam will be in New York City to perform at the Broadcasters Foundation of America’s Golden Mike Award Dinner honoring iHeartMedia Chairman & CEO, Bob Pittman. The Foundation works to assist radio or television industry professionals who, “because of advanced age, critical illness or other serious misfortune, are in acute need and can no longer provide for themselves or their family.”
  • Cam was a presenter and first-time nominee at the recent GRAMMY Awards®, and she documented the experience for a special photo segment in the latest People magazine, and with a more extensive look online at People.com!

audio  Cam talks about being on tour with Brad Paisley. (:38)
“The Brad tour is insane. It’s amazing. He has the best fans. They are there early, which is amazing, so everyone’s there and excited to see me. And when I ask everyone to, like, sing along, like to ‘Burning House,’ I mean, I just get a huge stadium full of people with their flashlights on their phone, you know, so it’s just like this sea of stars, and it’s unreal. There’s like a catwalk — Brad lets me go out on the catwalk (laughs), so it’s a really amazing experience to play for a crowd that I normally…I wouldn’t get to play for that kind of crowd yet. He earned these amazing fans, and I get to borrow them for 20 minutes.”

“What’s cool about Brad is that he and his…like, now I’ve gotten to hang out with him and his dad, and they’re so funny, they’re great people, hard-working people. And you feel like you’re being watched out for. You know, like, everyone in the crew…it’s probably not hard to miss me ’cause I’m the only one with crazy curls, but (laughs) they all see me and know me and kind of like, ‘Hey, Cam, how are you doin’, how are you feelin’?’ So, definitely like a big family that you get to be a part of. Country music’s just so good about that, just sort of looking out for one another.”
