CAM: Honeymoons, Nominations, Excitement, Oh My!

audio

The CMA Awards are less than a month away, and excitement is building because this is an extra special year, as the CMAs will be celebrating their 50th anniversary! Double nominee Cam, who is coming off her honeymoon, is totally excited to be at this year’s awards show. Cam prides her self as a songwriter, so the Song Of The Year nomination for her number-one hit “Burning House” is a big one for her…but it’s her other nomination for Video Of The Year, also for “Burning House,” that highlights an aspect of her career that Cam didn’t think of before she had to do them. Cam says “I spend a lot of time on my song writing, and I didn’t realize how much I love making music videos, but obviously I care a lot to burn a house down, and then drown in the next one, so I’m really really honored to be nominated.” Cam, along with pretty much the rest of the Country Music Universe will be in Nashville on November 2nd as the trophies are handed out at the 50th annual CMA Awards.

“I am so excited to be nominated for Song Of The Year and Music Video Of The Year. The song writing and making of music videos, both those crafts are something that I value a lot. It’s something I spend a lot of time on my song writing, and I didn’t realize how much I love making music videos, but obviously I care a lot to burn a house down, and then drown in the next one, so I’m really really honored to be nominated for those for this really special 50th CMA celebration. It will be really cool to be there.”
