audio  Cam is a both a nominee and a presenter on Monday’s GRAMMY Awards, and she says that she really enjoys the opportunity to be a presenter. (:35)
“You know what’s really cool is the presenting part of it. You get a little bit more of a casual moment with everybody. I got to present actually for Chris Stapleton when he won at the CMAs this last year. It’s a really cool thing to represent such an award that you’re, like, handing off, and just to see them as you hand off an award, that’s a really special moment, too. So, it’s fun. It’s kind of…it makes you feel extra included in the community to do that part of the job, too, you know, instead of just wondering if you’re gonna get it or not, you get to help give to other people. I really like that feeling.”

audio  Cam says that her GRAMMY nomination makes her feel like she won the lottery. (:19)
“Just the fact that people think of you enough to have you be in the top four of these categories, that’s huge. Huge, huge, huge. If you think about how many people are making music right now, how many people actually make it onto the radio, how many people actually get nominated, it feels like I won the lottery.”

“We’re picking out my GRAMMY dress next, and I haven’t quite thought about the ACMs yet, so maybe I’ll learn something at the GRAMMYs, ’cause I have to present, so I definitely have to walk. So maybe I’ll kind of learn how hard that is. Man, I wish I could just wear sneakers. You know what I mean, ’cause then you know you’re definitely gonna make it up on stage in one piece, ’cause you’re probably so flustered by the whole thing. So, yeah, it’s a good thing to think about. I need to make sure that it’s easy to walk — or easy to get up and clap for whoever else wins.” (laughs)
