CAM: Dream Weaver

audio

Newcomer Cam has a big hit on her hands with her song “Burning House,” and it’s a song that Cam co-wrote, inspired by a dream, but based on a very emotional experience from her own life. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

  • You can find “Burning House” on Cam’s Welcome to Cam Country digital EP, available now on Apple Music.
  • Among other accolades, none other than The Washington Post is cheering Cam and her music, calling “Burning House” “an arresting guitar-and-piano ballad that likens a collapsing romance to a five-alarm scorcher.” Nice! See the full write-up on WashingtonPost.com!
  • In Case You Missed It… Billboard.com recently featured a Q&A with Cam, where among things, she shared, in part, “I would like to be known for honest, relatable writing and stories that are real. There’s just this shift I think is happening in a lot of society right now where being your most real self, however embarrassing or vulnerable or weird that is, is the coolest. … There’s this freedom in just being who you are. I’m just hoping to find a place that feels like that.”

“I was gonna see an ex for the first time. I hadn’t seen him in a long time since we broke up, and I really wasn’t sure how it was gonna go. I was really nervous about it and tryin’ to plan the best way to sort of apologize and make amends, and I went to bed with all that on my mind and had this dream about this burning house.”
