BROOKS & DUNN: Putting a “Girl” Into the Tour

Brooks and Dunn added another Academy of Country Music Award to their mantel this past weekend when they were named the ACM Top Vocal Duo. The award is their 25th ACM trophy – that’s more than any other act in ACM history! On the show that night, the guys performed their new hit, “Put a Girl In It” with an assist from friend Reba McEntire…and though they won’t be able to put her in it when they do the song on tour this summer, they know the song’s going to be an instant hit with their audiences. “It’s not that we don’t like songs that make you think,” Kix smiles, “But that’s one that you can throw into the tour first day, first time you hear it, I get it, let’s party to that.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

BROOKS & DUNN: Putting a “Girl” Into the Tour  Brooks & Dunn talk about their new hit, “Put a Girl in It,” and how it’s just right for summertime concerts. (:27)
Kix: “The great thing about that song – going on tour – is you get it right away. And it’s not that we don’t like songs that make you think, but that’s one that you can throw into the tour first day, first time you hear it, I get it, let’s party to that.”
Ronnie: “It’s a great summer party song, which is perfect for the tour. It’ll fall in line right with the right timing for when we need to go out and get that party crowd going in those hot amphitheatres.”
