BROOKS & DUNN: Coming Together Around Music

Brooks & Dunn and their pal and “Cowgirls Don’t Cry” singing partner Reba McEntire have all known one other for years, and there’s a lot of shared history and common ground among them, but when Brooks & Dunn hit the road and really travel the country, Kix Brooks says it’s fascinating to see how our differences and similarities as people all seem to come together around music. In any given stretch of a tour, Kix says, the guys might play all across the nation, soaking up the diversity and personalities of the towns and the people, but at the same time, “to think they all dig the same music. I mean, that’s what really makes it fun for you.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

BROOKS & DUNN: Coming Together Around Music  Kix Brooks talks about the great way music can bring people together. (:27)
“It’s funny to go across America as fast as we do and to see all those different parts of the country and to feel the personalities. I know it sounds kind of cliche, but I mean, our country is so diverse, but to think they all dig the same music. I mean, that’s what really makes it fun for you. And we — in six week’s time — will cover all those regions, and it really gets your head spinnin’ a little bit.”
