BRAD PAISLEY: Ten in a Row!!

Brad Paisley has the number-one country hit in the nation this week with his song, “Then,” which becomes his tenth consecutive chart-topper! Brad’s the only artist in nearly twenty years to rack up that many number-ones in a row on Billboard‘s country airplay chart! Brad had already set a record when he earned his ninth number-one, but he now joins a handful of country greats, including Alabama, George Strait, Ronnie Milsap, Earl Thomas Conley, Sonny James, Conway Twitty, and Brad hero Buck Owens as the only artists in Billboard history ever to achieve ten or more back-to-back country chart-toppers. Congratulations, Brad!

  • “Then” is the first smash from Brad’s upcoming album, American Saturday Night, releasing June 30th! The song is available now as a digital single at your favorite online music store.
  • And if you missed it, Brad recently talked with us about writing “Then” — you can check it out, right here: http://prep.hearsomethingcountry.com/2009/05/14/brad-paisley-birthing-then/.
  • We mentioned that Brad is now in some esteemed company that includes his hero and friend, the late Buck Owens. As part of his 2008 album, Play, Brad featured Buck on the song “Come on In,” a track recorded by Buck that had remained unfinished at the time of his passing, but that Brad completed and made a duet in tribute to his friend. Along with this and other great songs, Play also features Brad’s ninth number-one hit, his Keith Urban duet, “Start a Band.”
