BRAD PAISLEY: Remembering Memorial Day Weekend 2014

audio

Brad Paisley may be riding high with his latest hit, “Crushin’ It,” but Brad was flying high, literally and figuratively, last Memorial Day, when he joined President Obama on Air Force One for an unannounced visit to Afghanistan’s Bagram Airfield, which included a performance by Brad for the troops stationed there. And while Brad was on that long flight, he made use of the time to work on another cool song from his Moonshine in the Trunk album, the track called “Me and Jesus.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

  • More on Brad’s Memorial Day 2014 trip to Afghanistan is detailed in this story from the Prep Site archives.
  • Tonight (5/15), Brad will be in New Jersey for the kick-off of his 2015 Crushin’ It World Tour with special guests Justin Moore and Mickey Guyton. Shows are on tap into October, so be sure to look for a date near you on the tour page of BradPaisley.com!
  • Along with his new hit, “Crushin’ It,” Brad’s Moonshine in the Trunk album also features the smash singles “River Bank” and “Perfect Storm.”

“I came in and cut the track for that the night before we left and realized I was probably gonna have hours of downtime, you know? Thirteen hours over and 16 back, so I just realized that I should probably bring that with me, and maybe I’ll get something done. And so that was one of the things I did on there was work on that track. And you know, it’s really wild to think that I mixed a song over the Black Sea on that airplane.”
