BRAD PAISLEY: No Regrets

Brad Paisley once commented that early in his career, he discovered that if he reached out to his musical heroes and asked if they wanted to work on a project with him, he found out that they normally said “yes.” This is a lesson Brad carried as he worked with George Jones, Buck Owens, Whispering Bill Anderson and Little Jimmy Dickens. While he might have one or two regrets about other things that have happened in his career, Brad in no way has a second thought about the time spent collaborating with those legends, “That’s one thing I have no regrets about in my career, is that I have taken advantage of the chance to get to know these guys that I loved. But getting to know these guys, and getting to be friends with them.” Of course it was probably his friendship with Little Jimmy that was the best known to the public, with all the videos there we’re in together, and Jimmy’s many appearances in skits during Brad’s hosting duties on the CMA Awards, “I mean it was there for the world to see the friendship I had with Little Jimmy Dickens…and I was the lucky one in that relationship. Man, do I have no regrets about the time I got to spend with him.” You can tell how much Brad misses his friend as he sings “Little Jimmy on the Opry stage” in the closing lyrics of his current hit “Last Time For Everything.” If you want to check out seeing him live, check the schedule for the Weekend Warrior tour at Brad Paisley dot com, or just click HERE
